AK 98 has a higher hardness than AK97. Since the finished part has a high density and no porosity, it can be used for applications that require vacuum density. This material can particularly shine when it comes to high mechanical and wear resistance and resistance to chemical substances. Since the material granules are coarse-grained, they are particularly suitable for ballistic applications. Another field of application is wear solutions which have a simple geometry.
