Aluminium oxide AK 97 M
Optimized for metal-ceramic assemblies and solder joints
Aluminium oxide AK97M is characterized by its good metallizing ability, excellent electronic insulation and has been additionally optimized for the production of brazed assemblies.
AK97M has a high resistivity per unit volume. In addition, the material has no open porosity and, resulting from that, a high density. Therefore, it is also suitable for applications requiring vacuum density. A decisive advantage, however, is that metal-ceramic solder joints have a very high strength.
This material is particularly suitable then for ceramic-metal or brazing assemblies. Due to its many other properties, it is also recommended for use in high vacuum systems, laser equipment, X-ray tubes and electron microscopes, as well as for insulators used in medical or scientific equipment.
