Alumina AK99.7 is our go-to material for applications that require resistance to corrosive, aggressive atmospheres and therefore has increased corrosion resistance.

This material offers not only excellent chemical properties, (resistance to acids, bases and organic substances), it also has very high hardness and mechanical strength. In addition, the material is only slightly mixed with SiO₂ and retains a high degree of purity. Other properties of this material are its small grain size and absence of porosity, through which a high surface quality can be achieved. Like many of our technical ceramics, it has a high resistivity per unit volume which results in applications for semiconductor components used in etching, PVD, CVD, CMP, implant or lithography processes. Furthermore, components for high vacuum processes, high power lasers, sensor applications can be realized. Seals and valves as well as plungers can also be manufactured from this material.
