Aluminium oxide AK99.9 is our purest material with 99.9% purity. Originally this material was produced specifically for use in surgical implants. Since then, Ak99.9 was further developed at QSIL to an expanded range of applications.

Not only does AK99.9 exhibit extraordinary high purity, but all other properties stand out and fully meet expectations. This Aluminum oxide ceramic has no open porosity and is at the same time vacuum-tight. The finest achievable surface finish can be realized with Ak99.9. In addition, this material has a very high temperature resistance. Combined with this AK99.9's excellent mechanical strength and resistance to extreme chemical environments are simply fantastic. Due to the fine grain and very high density, a very high rigidity is achieved. Furthermore, AK99.9 is an excellent electrical insulator and has a very high abrasion resistance.

Typical applications include components for sensors or as modules for extremely stressed areas in machine and plant construction. In addition, parts of this material are used in highly integrated industrial components or for semiconductor processing equipment.
