Mixed ceramic AZ 75
Used where the ceramic component are exposed to high mechanical wear and/or a high surface quality is required
AZ 75 is a Zirconia-reinforced Alumina ceramic consisting of 75% Al2O3 and 25% ZrO2 . Due to this mixing ratio, the material has a slightly higher flexural strength and fracture toughness than AZ90, but the hardness and modulus of elasticity are somewhat lower. In addition, a very good surface finish can be achieved. Applications exist where the ceramic component is exposed to high mechanical wear and/or a high surface quality is required. This can be the case, for example, in the fields of machinery and plant engineering or in sensor technology. Just as with AZ90, this material also makes it possible to produce precise and sharp edges on a component through appropriate hard machining.
