This foam ceramic has an open porosity of approx. 80%. (Can be internally coated using special techniques). Also this porous ceramic has by the defined porosity the possibility to filter liquids in the fluid technology or to be used as catalyst because of the clearly increased surface. Furthermore, the porous structure reduces a possible thermal shock as well as the weight. Furthermore, this material is well suited for high temperature insulation.
