Silicon nitride SN-EC/ESC (Electrically conductive/semiconductive Si3N4)

Semi-conductive or conductive - several material sub-variants are available

While normal silicon nitride has a high electrical insulating effect (1014 Ohm*cm), the special grades SN-ESC and SN-EC are semi-conductive or conductive through the addition of electrically conductive microstructural components. This opens up the possibility of designing components to be electrically conductive, to be processed electroerosively, or even to be used as ceramic-based heaters. Depending on the required conductivity, several material sub-variants are available.
