Silicon nitride SN-PU (low sinter additive Si3N4)

Minimized cross-contamination effects - maintaining very high strengths and improved resistance

The Si3N4 special variant "SN-PU" is characterized by a particularly low sinter additive and impurity content which makes it particularly suitable for applications where cross-contamination effects must be minimized. Due to the high isostatic compaction (HIP), the material is almost pore-free, has very high strengths and improved resistance under conditions of high temperature, oxidation or corrosion. However, SN-PU is more cost-intensive than the standard SN-GP grade due to the use of high-end raw materials and challenging sintering conditions.
