Glide bearing components

All-ceramic rolling bearings are preferred for contact with corrosive media, abrasive substances or for use at high temperatures

Silicon nitride is very well suited for components that are used in rollbearing technology.
 
Hybrid bearings in particular, were the inner and outer ring are made of steel, but the rolling elements are made of ceramic, have a whole range of advantages over conventional steel bearings.
For rolling elements such as balls, rollers, tapered rollers or barrels, the required ceramic blanks can be manufactured at FCT and offered to our customers in the qualities "as-fired" and "pre-ground".All-ceramic rolling bearings are preferred for contact with corrosive media, abrasive substances or for use at high temperatures. The necessary ceramic bearing rings are also available from FCT in the qualities "as-fired" or "pre-ground".

In contrast, silicon carbide has become the material of choice for slide bearing components. We can also offer these bearings to our customers when they are finished.
