High density and no porosity, makes it usable for applications that require vacuum density, ballistics and wear solutions

AK 96 has a high specific resistance per unit volume. A high surface quality can be achieved by suitable machining processes. The finished workpiece has a high density and does not exhibit porosity. Therefore, the material can also be used in applications requiring vacuum density. Properties include a high mechanical and wear resistance plus high resistance to chemical substances and abrasion. It is a relatively inexpensive material used almost exclusively for ballistic applications. This material has a coarse grain size and is hardly suitable for the production of small and intricate components. For this reason, in addition to ballistic applications, it can also be used for wear solutions with a simple geometry.
