Cost-effective solution in wear technology

AK 92 is a fine crystalline material with a glass phase content. This material is often used as a cost-effective solution in wear technology. Despite its low price, workpieces made of this material have high functionality and good mechanical, electrical, chemical and thermal properties. These make AK 92 a versatile aluminum oxide ceramic.

AK 92 impresses with high mechanical strength and good wear resistance. In addition, this ceramic has a high resistance to acids, bases or other chemical substances, combined with a low specific weight.

These and other properties qualify AK 92 for use in components for the steel, mining, paper, pulp, chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as foundry technology. Other industries in which the material can be used are cement and concrete production.

Applications for this material are wear-resistant components, linings for mills, mixers, chutes, baffle plates. Further applications can be found in wear-resistant pipes, plates, blast nozzles or in the form of grinding balls.
